Jeremy Martin

My name is Jeremy Martin, an up and coming video game journalist, born with a very serious birth defect. I was born with Hypo Plastic Right Heart syndrome. This is a type of heart condition in which the right ventricle does not develop properly. In other words, I was born with half a heart. Growing up with a heart condition, I was never really able to do any sports. I would become short of breath, tire easy, and have to take frequent breaks.

Because of this, I grew interested in comic books, cartoons, anime, and video games. As a young child, I had never really known exactly what I wanted to do for a living. However, I had been exposed to video games from a very young age and came to really love them.

It wasn’t until freshman year of high school that I started to look at video games in a different light. I started to get more involved in the video game community and contributed to online forums regarding specific games. It was then that I found my passion. I drew inspiration from the video game journalists I aspired to be like, for example, Raychul Moore. One day I hope to be a successful video game journalist and set new precedences for my medium.
