Every year in October National Depression Screening Day is held at Ohlone to educate students, faculty and staff members that it is possible to eliminate emotional and physical symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders and post traumatic stress disorders.
National Depression Screening Day was designed to call attention to the symptoms of depression to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. Student Health Center personnel will provide education, support and referral resources for those who take the brief screening assessment. The actual screening process takes about 20 minutes. To take your confidential depression assessment you can attend The Fremont or Newark campus on Thursday October 6, 2016.
This program is sponsored and was created by the Ohlone Student Health Center, Student Activities and ASOC student government.
